Joshua's law is a teen driver education course. Senate Bill 226 also known as "Joshua's law". Completion of this course is a prerequisite for any16 and 17 years old for obtaining their class D driver's license in the state of Georgia. This course is also mandatory for a teen 16 years of age applying for motorcycle permit (class MP). All 16 and 17 years old applying for a Class D driver's license (known as provisional driver's license) must complete an approved driver education course and complete a total of 40 hours of supervised driving , 6 hours of which must be at night, with a parent or guardian's sworn verification that these requirements have been met. If teens 16 and 17 years of age, fails to complete/pass this 30 hours of driver education, he/she will not be eligible for a Class C driver's license until they are 18 years of age.

The course materials and final exam can be taken as many times as necessary in order to pass the course. The final exam consists of 30 questions and students need to score 70% in order to pass the exam. A certificate of completion will be mailed to the students within 48 hours after successful completion of this course.
